Delete Your Account
Photog · Last updated 4 August 2026
You can delete your Photog account and its data at any time. The fastest way is from inside the app. If you cannot sign in, there is a request route below.
Option 1 — In the app (fastest)
If you can still sign in, do it here. It is immediate and needs no one's approval.
- Open Photog and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Your account is erased straight away and you are signed out.
Option 2 — By email (if you cannot sign in)
Use this if you have lost access to your institutional email, can no longer sign in, or the app is not working for you.
Email tejas.sajith@gmail.com with:
- Subject line: Photog account deletion request
- The
@pilani.bits-pilani.ac.inemail address your Photog account uses - Your full name as it appears on your Photog profile
We will confirm you are the account holder before deleting anything, then action the request and reply to confirm. Please allow up to 30 days, though in practice it is usually done much sooner.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Both routes above do exactly the same thing. Erased permanently:
- Your login account and profile — email, name, phone number, Instagram handle, bio, and skill tags.
- Your avatar, banner, portfolio shots, signature shot, and personal contribution images, including the image files themselves in storage.
- Your recruitment application and its submissions.
- Gear items you personally own that were listed in the app.
- Your push notification token and notification history.
- Your personal stats, milestones, and shooter assignments on events.
What stays, without your name on it
Some records belong to the club rather than to you, and would leave gaps in the club's history if they vanished. These are kept, but your identity is removed from them — your attribution is cleared and cannot be traced back to you afterwards:
- Event coverage and its preview photos.
- Fest showcase gallery photos and gallery panels, which stay in the gallery without a photographer credit.
- Club gear records and transfer history, so the chain of custody for club equipment stays intact.
- Recruitment evaluations and notes you wrote about other applicants, and announcements you posted.
- Photo-of-the-week wins.
If you specifically want a club photo of yours removed from the gallery as well, say so in your email and we will handle it separately — that is a curation decision, not part of account deletion.
Rejoining later
Deleting your account does not ban you. If you are still a club member with a valid
@pilani.bits-pilani.ac.in address, you can sign in again to create a fresh
account — but nothing from the deleted one comes back.
